Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot: If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.
  • Is there another subject that is a no-no to bring up? Yes, the subject of triathletes should also be avoided, especially the noodling variety.
  • Late bloomer can be dangerous, but only in the hands of the unskilled. I may have to get you to elaborate on that one.
  • Just wanted to see this thread come back for a while!!!!!!:dedhorse: Hooray, tjburk! This is where I got my shakey start. Now, without having to go back and read all the threads, I'm curious to know what threads got shut down. Also, have people gotten kicked out and come back under new names? I got that feeling from Fort's post. I know Rooster and I don't believe that is the case with him, but is there somebody out there lurking about? I have at least learned not to mention triathletes. That is taboo. Is there another subject that is a no-no to bring up?
  • Geek :thhbbb: Nice, so I take it you won't provide any support for your statements then, typical.
  • If she is really banned before it runs the course I feel she will have some great civil action to take to court against the medication maufacturer or even the Olympic Committee. Hello, earth to George. Don't you first think she will have to explain why she was taking a medicine that is not available in the USA, that she doesn't have a condition requiring and that is on the banned list of drugs? Lets skip over all the obvious questions and instead talk about her suing, the last act of a desperate individual. You also stated "It has happened to many by taking something that is not considered illegal and does not appear on a banned list but gives a false reading. " Who, what, when? Give specific examples.

I only defend the falsely accussed until proven they used illegal items. I will stand by Hardy until the reports are proven. I do not accept heresay. When ever I brought up proven druggies everyone here said the proof was false, or the french drug reports are wrong. When I brought up drug use by some heroes that was true some here said the test by the french are wrong. I want proof not some news report where these reporters are guessing. It has been covering up Drug use for years. Especially the track and field athletes. You have been on here defending everyone is clean until proven guilty. Now you come out and say The Olympic Committee has been covering up drug use for years? Wow, talk about walking on both sides of the fence.

Medication can put a lot of athletes in jeopardy. It has happened to many by taking something that is not considered illegal and does not appear on a banned list but gives a false reading. Do we call them cheaters if the medication is not on the banned list or the item they take has been taken by many without giving a positive reading. I will still wait until this whole things runs the course. It may be that Hardy will still be able to compete. If she is really banned before it runs the course I feel she will have some great civil action to take to court against the medication maufacturer or even the Olympic Committee.

I agree with George. What more is needed is that due process must run it's course. They have (allegedly) gathered the evidence and now she must be "tried" (have her hearings) and found guilty. Should that occur, she would be a dirty cheater and more than worthy of any contempt and legal penalties placed on her. Until then, she is innocent, albeit on very shaky ground. There have been too many screw-ups by the various drug testing agencies to condemn someone on the grounds of unofficial reports published in the media. Let's wait to be sure she's a witch before we burn her. (She does float, however. Which means she must weigh as much as a duck, which means...) -LBJ She turned me in to a Newt.........I got better.....
