Wow, I go run a conference swim meet and go to musical practice afterwards and come back and this thing keeps going, and going, and going.
The weight training in the 70's probably depended where you went to school. I went to a small rural HS that football was king, and women's sports were a sidenote. The women's track coach was a big believer of weight training and fought to get us in to weight train twice a week in the boys lockerroom. Twas a smelly place, but even back then I loved the weight training. I was one of the few girls who took it seriously though, the rest just goofed off.
I still cannot get over the difference in the bodies of the 70's video, and I bet you would see differences in the men as well.
