Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot:
If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.

Like breastroker, I have not posted in a while - years in fact. I despise doping. Between doping and money we are seeing the ruination of sports such as cycling, track, and swimming.
However, with everything we have had presented to us via various media outlets, and knowing the USA Swimming reputation for clean swimming, why are we to cast so much doubt over Dara's recent accomplishments?
I won't lie, I was suspicious at first, this is after all uncharted territory. But after reading the articles, hearing the interviews, and realizing that she's racing the 50 and 100 freestyles, I just can't believe that she would risk becoming the most shamed, grandest sporting fraud of all time. She would be ruined, and unless she desires to live the remainder of her life as the most despised user of all-time, I can't see her having doped.
Because of the embarrassment it would cause the following organizations - USA-S, USOC, USADA, they would want her head on a silver platter. I really believe that it would be the final straw in the doping mess. People have had it. Between Tour de France, USA Track and Field, Bulgarian weightlifters, enough is enough. The accomplishments of all athletes would be called into question if the lightest shred of evidence comes out that she could have doped. Phelps, Piersol, Coughlin, Hoff, all of them would lose so much just due to the guilt-by-association concept.
I'm no optimist, I'm already sick of seeing her face everywhere, but let's give credit where credit is due. She would have to be the biggest fool on earth to be taking this risk, because it would mean everything - her life as she knows it would be over.
