If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.
I would think it would be easier to absorb the amino acids in that form than in the protein form. In addition, the balance of different amino acids can be tailored to the needs of human metabolism (I'm thinking of the 20 essential amino acids) rather than what the chicken, cow or pig or soybean happens to produce.
