Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot:
If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.
I wonder how many Olympic athletes are going to experience fairly severe exercise-induced asthma (maybe for the first time) as a result of the poor air quality in Beijing?
I never had a problem as a kid growing up in the San Francisco area. I attended USC and UCLA in the early 70s though. There were days it was very difficult to take deep breathes. I haven't lived there since 1977, so I can't tell how much it might have improved or degraded since then. Based on the reports I've read and heard of the draconian measures the Chinese government is taking that the air quality there is exceedingly bad. Fortunately for most of the athletes they get to go home after the games.
