And speaking of swim culture, and now my cynicism will show. How many out think these sports journalists actually did any serious research into our world? Yea, that's what I thought too, my last observance, sports writers are lazy.

Pat Forde, who wrote the ESPN article on Dara, is married to a swimmer that swam with my wife and Mary T. in Louisville, KY long ago. Pat has been living in and around the swimming world for decades now. Whether he wants to be or not, I can assure you, he is now well informed about swimming.... :-)
