old school speedo goggles

I see that you can't get the old style of speedo goggles (big roundish lenses with foam pads, plastic noisepiece with adjustment notches, rubber strap). I'm kind of disappointed because that was the kind I always used, and my current pair are wearing out. I tried a couple new styles of goggles that I'm not completely happy with, like 'speedo vanquisher'. what exactly was wrong with the old style and why did they have to go and change it? they were cheap, comfortable, functional, and you could get replacement parts like new straps when the old one wore out.

Also, try Canada. I love my Speedo Ultravision goggles. Everyone else hates them. But I love 'em. But they recently stopped making them in the US. But they are still being made in Canada. Rick - If you're interested, I may have a couple of pairs of Ultravision goggles. They used to be the only style that would stay on when I dove off the blocks. I now wear Tyr Racetechs instead; they fit me better than the Ultravisions. If you're interested, contact me at AnnaLea(at)usms(dot)org. Anna Lea
