old school speedo goggles

I see that you can't get the old style of speedo goggles (big roundish lenses with foam pads, plastic noisepiece with adjustment notches, rubber strap). I'm kind of disappointed because that was the kind I always used, and my current pair are wearing out. I tried a couple new styles of goggles that I'm not completely happy with, like 'speedo vanquisher'. what exactly was wrong with the old style and why did they have to go and change it? they were cheap, comfortable, functional, and you could get replacement parts like new straps when the old one wore out.

I would try Swedish goggles if I were you. Remember not to give up on them if they feel uncomfortable. They will probably take around a week to get used to. I usually use Speedo Speed Sockets and they are great, but they cost about $25. I'm not sure if it's worth it.
