My ratio of strength training to cardio is 9:1 or 90% of the time during the week I'm lifting weights and the other 10% I'm swimming/biking/and or running (jogging) and I know it stinks and I'd like it to be 6:4. What is yours and what are your thoughts on the subject? Coach T.
I think the 90/10 ratio is time not weight. (e.g. 18 hours in the weight room and 2 hours in the pool).
I’m closer to 100/0 or 90/10 swimming to weights. My son (who is a real swimmer) is closer to 70% swimming, 30% weights/drylands.
90% swimming, 10% resistance training (legs only).
Swimming and weight lifting is synonymous. I weight trained my entire life. Trust me when I tell you this. That is why my weight room training fell to 10%
My upper body strength is as good or better than when I lifted heavy and often. Leg strength suffered, that is why I still have to devote some time to them.
