At 10:00 a.m. CDT this morning tickets for the swimming olympic trials in Omaha, NE went on sale. I just got my "gold" package for all 15 sessions.
I went to Long Beach in '04 and had a fantastic time. One highlight was a daily low key morning workout with masters from all over the country, big group breakfast afterward and then head over to prelims. Anyone know about pool resources in Omaha? It's never too early to line this stuff up.
Omaha is a small enough town that the event (right in the heart of downtown) will have a huge presence. Swimmers, coaches, fans everywhere.
Hope some of you can make it.

I grew up in Nebraska & graduated from Univ. of Nebr for my undergraduate. Omaha is actually a really fun place with lots of fun bars, restaurants, etc.
I'm not sure about Omaha's pools but Lincoln has the Bob Devaney sports center pool, which I got to swim it extensively in '83 and '84 for swimming camp. I remember that the gutters were enormous, and the lane lines were triple lines. No waves in that pool.
I'm not sure if a master's team works out at the bob devaney pool but if so I would think it's worth the trip from Omaha because it's such a great pool. I would like to swim there again someday.
