Swiminfo.com has released a post saying that Amanda Beard will be on the cover of the July issue for Playboy.
How do you think this will effect her image among the swimming communties? Will any of us purchase this issue because of her?
I checked out that link and I was surprised. Amanda looked pretty in the Speedo ads, I was not impressed with these pictures. I won't say what I think she looks like (no, not a mean word!), but I was surprised. I didn't think she was attractive (her face) at all.
I'll go back to just admiring her swimming :fish2:

The only reason Jane made it back was because of her name...Fonda. Her dad was phenomenal...There are literally millions of us who boycott her specifically for her roll in Vietnam....even worse...she's at it again.
Using Fonda as an example of success is ludicrous. As with tjburk above, many find her to be reprehensible. A family member served in Vietnam and still despises her to this day. She had one good movie (On Golden Pond) and a successful line of videos. She was on Letterman this week and her normal self-righteous personality shone right through. There she was wearing a milk spun shirt (I still don't understand that) and hemp pants and that makes her "important" and "relevant." She managed to get in the limelight via her family and stay via her now ex-husband, who is also incredibly wealthy. So, she really hasn't done much on her own.
I found another playboy model that Beard can now call a friend, an inspriation even, Morganna.

This is an incorrect statement. Personally, I don't believe either of the stereotypes. Just personally, I realize other people believe they are true. But many other people don't. And I really don't think men who sleep around are "studs." They are men that I wouldn't have wanted to date.

I agree with Fort too. Men who slept around were pigs, etc. in my circle of friends, but to other men they were studs. Women who slept around were sl*ts, and their rep stayed forever, while the men could change their rep once they were respectably married. Our society is so weird!
