Swiminfo.com has released a post saying that Amanda Beard will be on the cover of the July issue for Playboy.
How do you think this will effect her image among the swimming communties? Will any of us purchase this issue because of her?

I still think that this type of blanket statement is incorrect. I agree with you about why people buy these magazines, but I don't agree that the photos change the way these people are seen in general.
Didn't Rachael Ray pose for FHM in some rather suggestive photos? (She did...I've seen them). I don't think that has negatively affected her career. Do you?
Posing in clothes...even if it's not much more than a bathing suit...does not quite compare to being naked.
