Swiminfo.com has released a post saying that Amanda Beard will be on the cover of the July issue for Playboy.
How do you think this will effect her image among the swimming communties? Will any of us purchase this issue because of her?

The men I know, do not want to have intimate, caring, loving relationships with Playboy models. They see them as sex objects, which is the point, I believe, of the magazine. When it comes down to it, they are selling pictures of their bodies for money
Well said. Amanda is making money by selling herself as a sex object. Skank may be mean, but if the shoe fits. Not that I am mad at her for doing it. I mean, she didn't ask to be a role model and I certainly have no right to expect it from her.
