Swiminfo.com has released a post saying that Amanda Beard will be on the cover of the July issue for Playboy.
How do you think this will effect her image among the swimming communties? Will any of us purchase this issue because of her?

I've never understood the weird obsession in this country about why someone without their clothes on is "immoral" or will cause you to go to the place with the guy with the pitchfork and pointy tail lives. I'm sorry, but assuming that her pictures don't look like the pictures on the gyn medical board exams, what's the big deal? We've all seen women without their clothes on (except me & Bork, but we're math nerds) and I rather doubt that swimming will be corrupted in any way by this. (Although some swimmers may need to shave the palms of their hands when tapering and shaving from now on, not to mention getting powerful prescription goggles...)
