Swiminfo.com has released a post saying that Amanda Beard will be on the cover of the July issue for Playboy.
How do you think this will effect her image among the swimming communties? Will any of us purchase this issue because of her?

Good for her if that's what she wanted to do. I'm not sure how this will come across to the parents of young swimmers out there. . . . But as an adult female swimmer, I admire her for having the guts and the bod to pull this off.
Good for Playboy for actually breaking out of their standard mold and putting someone other than the standard Barbie blonde on the cover. To Playboy's credit, I do remember some of their non-standard blonde's in the past including Patty Davis.
I know I will be sure to get this issue b/c she's on the cover. I hope they took the time to interview her.
