I have just moved to NYC, living near 111 east 48th.
I am looking for a pool that accepts pay as you go for a good rate.
Anyone know one or alternatively open water swims?

You're very close to the Vanderbilt Y on 47th Street and Third Avenue. They have day passes, although I'm not sure of the rate (I think it's about $20).
