Thank you so much both Kirk and Dom, but I am on a mission and I won't get there if I don't put in the time. And I, too, want to congratulate everyone who is not only adding much yardage to their regime, but anyone who is still actively involved in this sport of ours. And this swim is possibly my last big accomplishment, as well as for my mom, an Alzheimer's patient, Stage 5. Alzheimer's may be joining in on this swim. It looks promising that this will be happening. Dom, don't ever grow up, I don't plan on it  donna

I tanked this month. I just need to get back into the swing of things and get back to the pool on a regualar basis. UGH! I hate when I get out of the momentum...it's so hard to get back into it...but I have a trip to the beach in under 2 months, so I have motivation, in the form of a 2 piece bathing suit on my side.
  • March was a frustrating month for me. First my son got the stomach flu and then he gave it to me. Then he got a bad cold and, yup, passed it on to me as well. I thought I had an ear infection and was told to stay out of the water until I saw an ENT. ENT thinks I have an inner ear disease (had the testing for it yesterday). I can still swim but I was kept out for a week while waiting to see the doc. Then my husband went on a business trip for 5 days so I couldn't swim since I had to stay home with our son. So I had a bad March. I was hoping to hit 100 miles by the end of March, now I'm hoping for the end of April but my husband just informed me he has to go out of town the last full week of April. I'm 14 miles shy of 100 and I hope I can get it all in in the next few days. So March for me equaled :frustrated: Oh and I have Zones this weekend. Nothing like a meet when you've barely been in the water. I'm taking it easy and only doing the 500 free and 200 fly. Alison

Oh and I have Zones this weekend. Nothing like a meet when you've barely been in the water. I'm taking it easy and only doing the 500 free and 200 fly. Alison Allison, I love how you use the word "only" when referring to the 200 fly:shakeshead: which could absoloutely torture the average person. Oh, and you are piling on the mileage, good job!!! I have a pretty ridiculous goal, 120 miles per month for the next 18 months--will see if it is possible!!

Way to go Donna!! 250 seems so far to me!! April has been OK, but not as great as the past. I need to get back to the 3 times a week rather than the 2 I have been doing :( But I did earn my 50 mile cap an am near 10 miles closer than that to my next award of 100 mile cap!! 2500 is about the max I can fit in three times a week, and more like 2200 on a regular basis. I wear my cap proudly!!! and continue to be motivated by coming home at the end of the day and adding to my graph!! I love this event.

Hi USA. First I like to say my hat is off to donna 250 miles AWSOME. This is for working young people. It is not easy when your time is limited, you know working making supper taking the young ones to all sorts of activity. So you all have apass, although I am amazed at most of the milage that is being done. But for the RETIREES ,I am also amazed at there milage and I am proud to be in that group. Now in my age bracket (70-74)I am ever so slowly gaing on them so be careful. But I got to tell you there milage is WOW. Happy Swimming DOM IN AZ.:woot: :p :drink: :groovy:
