What about this Italian, Fillipo Magnini?

The guy wins the gold in the 100 free with a 48.43. Then he anchors the Italian 400 free relay with a 47.18. The fastest split in the event. I would have thought he would at least be anchoring the Italian 400 medley relay and swimming the 50 free? I couldn't find him listed in any other events.

In a relay you don't factor in the reaction time becuase everyone can pretty much have like a .2 reaction time. And since a relay exchange is a timing thing and not a reaction you can use both feet forward on the block rather then a track start. Using both feet gives you alot more power off of the block.
