I would have thought he would at least be anchoring the Italian 400 medley relay and swimming the 50 free?
I couldn't find him listed in any other events.
I thought he might be a 200 guy when I didn't see his name in the 50, but he didn't even enter that event either.

In a relay you don't factor in the reaction time becuase everyone can pretty much have like a .2 reaction time. And since a relay exchange is a timing thing and not a reaction you can use both feet forward on the block rather then a track start. Using both feet gives you alot more power off of the block.
