I did my practice yesterday - I felt sooo slow. My times were slower and just felt like I was dragging. I pretty sure the pool I practice is slow any way. I could feel that I was fine in the deep but as soon as you cross the line for the shallow end, man... it was a struggle.
Sometime, I feel fine though, my 100's practice time range in the 1:15 - 1:20, but yesterday it's was 1:20 -1:25.
What the problem, is it me or what??? Does anyone else get this way??

You are not alone in having an occasional slow practice. I had one last night too.
Sometimes the water just doesn't feel "right." In my case, the walls kept moving. Flip turns were either too long, or too short. Awful night. I chalk it up to being tired from a harder than normal workout the previous night. My body was telling me something, so after struggling through 90% of the workout, I got out and called it a night.
Don't get too down about an off period. It could last a day or it could last longer, but you WILL get past it. When I get this way, I try to work technique instead of speed, or try to change up the usual routine by working on strokes I like to ignore.
If we didn't have bad workouts, how would we know when we have great ones? Try to find at least one good thing about a bad workout. Did you swim more *** stroke than normal? Hit a good streamline off each wall? Really enjoy the shower after the swim??
