We have a few grudge races amongst forum regulars coming up at Colonies Zones. They are:
Muppet vs. Dave Barra: 200 fly
SwimStud vs. Muppet: 50 ***
Fortress vs. SwimmieAvsFan: 50 back
Here's the poll. Place your bets; no limits on voting. All races should be hotly contested. All commentary, advice and cheering accepted. If anyone else has another grudge race, pile on.
Well, Julie can spy on me. But she better not give away my secrets, if I have any. ;)
HA HA! As long as you teach me how to do the SDKs I'll keep quiet!

HA HA! Buy a monofin, skip practice and do lots of monofinning on your own. Time yourself like Ande. He, he.
(BTW, I am coming tomorrow night to practice even though it's, ugh, free night. I'll swim all back in anticipation of my showdown with Mollie.)
I entered myself in the 50 back. Last year was insane with everyone touching at once....me, Barbara, Cheryl, Mollie (I am pretty sure), Fort- were you in that heat?

I was in that heat! All the GMU folks were watching to see what happened between Cheryl, Barb and I. I didn't realize you were there. Mollie too? Jeez. We may have to try to get in the same heat again.
Dave:
200 free too? That's not Muppet's fav race, I've heard. But he looked in pretty good form last Sat. in the 100 free. Watch out! I have to look at the order of events to see if I can watch the showdowns at the men's pool in between my itsy bitsy sprint schedule. Relays too though.
I don't live right in Fairfax, so I'm not sure what the best place to dine is. Cheryl should know. I'll send her an email. Friday night best?
I looked. Last year's 50 back results. Should be a vicious showdown this year. We all better work on those SDKs!!
Leslie 30.25
Barb 30.30
Julie 30.57
Cheryl 30.66
Mollie 30.74
We don't need to be discussing Karlyn's times, of course. Or Stacey Peterson's either.

I got curious so I looked up our heat:
Lane 1- 31.12
Lane 2- 30.32
Lane 3- 30.25 (Leslie)
Lane 4- 30.30 (Barbara)
Lane 5- 30.13
Lane 6- 30.20
Lane 7- 30.66 (Cheryl)
Lane 8- 30.57 (Julie)
Mollie was in the heat after ours. I remember that race SOOOO well because I looked up at the clock and couldn't even process what had happened. My Mom was watching from the stands and said that everyone just touched at the same time and it could have been anyone's race.
You've GOT to be in our heat again!!! I entered with that time and Barb is already entered with a similar time. You SHOULD have been in our heat in the 100 last weekend!!!!!!
I wish I could come watch. Fortress, your avatar is killing me. Back in my single days I had that book memorized. And also her other two books.:laugh2:
and see how well I fare against my age group!!
This is not permitted on a grudge race thread. I am a million times older than all those people I am forced to race the 50 back against, including Julie. Plus, I am the shortest. Since Dave never finalized his handicapping formula, I don't know how many tenths I get. :thhbbb: But I have a feeling no one cares. He, he.
Julie: I'll tell Cheryl to put me in at a good time, so we're all together again. Just one big happy family. Did Susan Williams, ex trialist, win that heat?
