With the exception of Liesel Jones, wave breaststroke is the popular fashion.
But there are so many variations of it that you could see all eight swimmers in a heat doing it different ways.
Is the current trend still the "wave *** stroke" or is there a new technique that is taking its place?
I dunno for sure but I'm only just getting to grips with the wave...sometimes I do the "frantic wave"...normally coming off the pullout on turn 7 of the BR200 :D
I definitely reccomend going to breaststroke.info to read Wayne's articles"What went wrong with the wave breaststroke" and " what went right with the wave breaststroke."
I just reviewed video of Liesel Jones. I think she does swim wave, but with a very low amplitude. She keeps her head down and recovers her feet in the "shadow of her body(little flexion at the hips on leg recovery) which I think are the most important features of modern breaststroke.
Rich, when does your instructional video"Swim Breaststroke Like the Swimstud" come out.I understand pre-release sales are through the roof:woot:

After I teach him the proper technique so we can film him.
I do wave breaststroke, and definately notice a difference when my wave is on versus not there. It's still the fastest form of *** I've found. Being able to use your body to move the water, definately is better than just feet and hands.
