Ok so I miss the NY Aqua fit spring Fling b/c of stomach virus at the weekend. I sneeze and threw out my back yeserday morning and now am staring NEM or more accurately NO-NEM in the face. I'm gonna be a bad tempered breaststroker if I can't make it to NEM. Whine, whine, whine, whine, I agreed to sore knees, sore shoulder, manky ear, brittle hair, cold water induced atrophy, blocked bugle, stinking like clorox, and looking comical doing fly. Why I gotta have lower back issues too? :'(

New Englands is--gasp, sweat--next weekend, beginning the 23rd. Rich, you had better be there, popping Advil with the rest of us! I'll go even if I can't swim all the events I want. I'm just griping. I'm bringing my whole team Naproxen, Skelaxin, Vicodin. lol
  • its just a flesh wound. "I'm feelin' much better." Best movie ever made... Rich, I'm so sorry you're in pain. Injuries stink. Hang in there. You must have had one heck of a sneeze bud. Allergies?
  • And I thought only girls had problems getting into their suits. Getting into my FSII requires a shoe horn, but luckily, not a visit to the chiropractor! This was just the standard speedo. I wasn't even putting it on, I was bending down to get it out of my bag when my back went out.

Hurrah all that time on the PT table pays off. I self-treated and have eliminated 80% of the problem in my back.

...and last summer had to see a chiropractor because I tweaked my back while changing into my suit for a workout. And I thought only girls had problems getting into their suits. Getting into my FSII requires a shoe horn, but luckily, not a visit to the chiropractor!
  • Add me to the list of those seeing doctors... I'm going to the sports medicine/orthopaedic doc on Monday for my knees! Woohoo! Perhaps there will be more than 300 yds of *** kick someday in my future. Peter, I am sorry about the groin pull. Yuck!! Those take a while to heal too...
  • So, my breastroke was feeling really good- until tonight when I pulled my groin. Yeow! Haven't done it for a few years, but it used to really plague me. I'll be doing anything but for a few weeks. Time to start cranking out that fly! :woot:

You must have had one heck of a sneeze bud. Allergies? Not really a big sneeze but it was first thing in the morning...back is dodgy anyhow and my system hadn't warmed up...no massage or PT til friday...but first 6-10 inches of snow! ACK! So, my breastroke was feeling really good- until tonight when I pulled my groin. Yeow! Haven't done it for a few years, but it used to really plague me. I'll be doing anything but for a few weeks. I did that...it was hard to work around it. I've done it from soccer and dancing though too. Get a length of surgical stocking and wear it high up if it's in your leg too, or go to the shops and but a couple of pair of supportive boxer briefs...they have mild compression and seem to help in day to day activities. They look like these but look for ones that are designed for "sports" see picture (keep calm ladies, this is not actually me  )
