How do you see/keep track of workout???

I was just wondering what do people take to the pool to see/keep track of their work out. At the 'Y" they don't have wipe or chalk boards. So I use a paper protector, print out my workout from the forum and turn and tape both top and bottom of the paper protector to help keep some of the water out. It works - it stills gets wet, but I can still see it. I can use the same workout twice before I have to throw it out from being to wet. I was just wonder what other do that may work better.

Zip Loc Freezer bags work very well for me as well. But I need to take the hints here of large and bold.

HAHAHA ROFL You're laughing now, Mr. Stud. Just wait a few years until your arms aren't long enough. Reaching 40 is an eye opener. :p

I know before I go the workout I am doing. I try to keep it simple so do not have to refer to anything. Just the type of workout and if I meet my goals for the workout.

I've done this and also will tape interval times to my water bottle. So if I know I'm going to do 10x 50 on 1:15 or something I list the intervals and have my waterproof stopwatch right there. The analogue pace clock sucks...

When I practice solo... I write my practice on a small piece of paper, get it wet and stick it on the pool deck... then pitch it when I'm done. Our coach recently got rid of the paper protectors, they slip into the gutter and have caused some problems with the pump... so he just tells us the set or writes it on a mobile dry-erase board.

An Idea: A plastic sheet pocket taped at the top; cliped to a copyboard. Extra thing to carry but you won't have to stand to read it and it won't let the paper blow away.
  • Hey Dana - you don't even have to use soft scrub. I use a regular white pencil eraser - works great!
  • Hi Mollie - thanks! I had to do something when I first joined the team and before I got Rx goggles - I couldn't read the board at all. Now I can read my little board, I can keep track of everything, and I have a whole bunch of workouts whenever I need them. I am sure this will come in handy when the ERC closes next month for about six weeks. Bummer! Take care, I hope I see you at practice sometime soon. Diana
