Froggy brother's and sisters: Do you have any specific dry land exercises you do for your knees. I know extensions and curls are good to stabilise. Anyone have any other tips? Rich

I agree...stretching all the muscles around your knee will help with its flexibility. so stretch before warmup, then while warming up do a few laps of really easy *** kick to get the feel. Then your ready! if it hurts after then just ice... well thats what i do anyway. i think my knees are mad at me for swimming so long. Just got to stop dislocating it i guess ;) I guess I shouldn't moan...the first time in 37 years...the left knee is the problem child...but this time the right is griping. Normally I warm up with free. Do stretches in the water: Lunges, side lunges, groin stretches. I stretch my hams in the shower but not too aggressively. I believe in easy warm-up, then stretch a bit then warm up a bit more then swim. I have been known to sit on the deck after warm up and stretch too. This aggravates the noodlers who come along and ask if I am in or out to which I reply in, but tell them they're welcome to share the lane...they seem to get upset that they don't have a lane to themselves though...oddness...
