To the practioners of the most noble stroke...Hip pain?

I'm a breaststroker...for anyone who confused "noble stroke" with some other lesser stroke....;) Usually the one part of my body that hurts is my shoulders and occasionaly knees, but my hip has been killing me lately. I have double jointed hips and they occasionally slip out of place, but I can usually pop them back in easily and it only takes about day. My hip has been hurting for about a week now and it's different pain then slipped out of place. Any ideas what could be causing it or how to fix it? Merci Beaucoup!

Your femur actually slips out of place? That makes me cringe! I would be in the Ortho's office ASAP if I had something like that going on. The new type of pain could be indicative of something out of the "ordinary". Once again, I would waste no time getting that checked out. My biggest issue with *** is straining the inner thigh muscles (adductors?) if I don't warm up sufficiently. I now make it a point to save the *** for last. Isn't there a song about that? Hmm? Anyhow good luck with your hip issue. As somebody else stated earlier...don't do anything that hurts. If swimming *** hurts, then stop. Swim free or free pull until this issue gets resolved.
