Lurkers Welcome - Slightly swimming related

I admit it. I'm a former lurker. Admitting you have a problem is the first step right? I enjoy reading everyone's posts. Even the "NSR" stuff. Some times it's hard to keep up. This is a very active group!:bow: I'm a Colonies zone swimmer & plan on attending zones in April. It will be fun trying to figure out who fits which alter-ego. I'll be the one reading the program and squinting at the blocks to put a face (at least cap & goggles) to the name. Dana Dana no hiding...we'll have surveillance teams looking for any suspicious monitoring of the seed sheets and starting blocks ;)

Am I somewhat of a lurker? I've been on this forum since 2003 and I only have like 190 posts. Anyways, I learn a lot here - but usually by the time I read a post... there are already so many feedbacks... my comments would just get lost in all of it. Ha ha. Love the workout section! :agree:

I just want to say hello to all of the new posters that posted on this thread and welcome you all to the forum (and to some of the low volume posters too who have posted here like Sarah...love the avatar Sarah!)....its so cool to have new people to talk too! Please never feel intimidated by technical swimming discussions though IMO....I think any question is a good question and most of us are not elite swimmers....just athletes like you and everyone else that happen to all love the wonderful sport of swimming. If you feel compelled to express yourself creatively in poem or song (or any other way for that matter), I've found the "meaning of swimming thread" to be a real blast! I hope you guys will pop in a little more (not saying y'all have to post as much as some of us loud guys...LOL!!)....but hopefully here and there (or a lot ...whatever suits you). I, too, want to welcome any lurkers, non-lurkers who rarely post and anyone who wants to join a large group of people who love the sport of swimming. I joined, I believe, in October, and have found great information and writing friends here. As far as I am concerned, we are all elite swimmers because we are trying our best; some are fast, some are not and it doesn't mean a hill of beans; we are ALL swimmers searching for good health, good swim technique, improved times, and fellowship. Welcome to all new people, I mean this. And for those who don't know me, I'm the older island lady who lives in the western caribbean and only swims open water. Donna

Thanks Swim4Life. I lurked for a long and then joined. I don't like bullies either and probably won't post much if there is a lot of bullying. I have always enjoyed reading your comments. You are very informative, very fair and still funny. I wish there were more like you out there that are the total package. Awww...you are a sweet girl! ;) You just made my day! I just want everyone to feel welcome. Everyone's opinion counts! We can all learn from and encourage each other. That is truly what Masters is all about.
