I was fine at swimming; got home it started to ache now it hurts to bend it or have any lateral motion. Ice and advil huh? I think it's probably just a bit strained...let's hope...

    I had it loose enough that with the stretch my knees came apart about 12"-15". It showed me what I need to work on to get a better kick. I would almost come to a complete stop in each cycle. It almost sounds as though you answered your own question..."It showed me what I need to work on..." Coming to a complete stop in each cycle may be that because of the band you were dropping your knees too much causing more drag. Just a thought. I don't recall that being a problem for me with the stretch cord around my knees. Another good kicking drill ...whipkick on your back and not allowing your knees to break the surface. This helps you to draw your heals up to your butt rather than dropping your knees during the initial phase of the kick. This drill took me awhile to get right. PoolRat and others', comments on my interpretation of this drill would be appreciated too.
