I only got to wear it once, and that was during conference.
(It got some use though. I broke the team record for 100 fly in it)
Anyone think it can be sewed?
It's made of the same material that American ones are made from.

Kyle... I hope you somehow get to exchange your suit. Speedo (USA) does replace items that are defective... but since it's the Japan version... I'm not sure what the policy is. Did you buy it at a store or on eBay?
The suit looks like you could get it sewn if you cannot get the suit replaced. Take it to an alterations place and explain to them the function of the suit and tell them to make the stitching as small as possible.
