I never eat powerbars before workouts. Usually I don't eat anything between lunch and workout time (5:40 p.m.), but sometimes I'll eat a piece of fruit (apple, orange, pear). Yeah, occasionally if I'm really hungry and I don't have anything else I'll get a candy bar or something from the vending machine at the office.
I've always found it interesting how different people react to eating before a workout. In general I don't have any problems with food "repeating" on me! However, a couple times I've eaten at an Indian restaurant immediately before workout. Not suggested.
