  • It is still a pretty fast time though IMO. With that kind of speed on the first 50, maybe he can go 51 or so by zones? I agree. If he holds back just a little on the first 50 and can split something like 24.5 27.5 that's a 52.0. That's still a three second drop off for the second 50 which should be doable.
  • Oh darn. I was really rooting for Ande and couldn't wait to see what he did on his 50 free. I wonder if he moved on the block? What happened Ande?
  • Maybe he didn't swim it? :dunno: One of my goals in life is to go under 1:00 for a 100 fly ... I have a long, long way to go ...
  • ouch it did hurt to finish that last 25 I wish it was a 75 thanks to everyone for all your encouragement there should be some very fast swims tonight ande 100 Fly: 45 Rasmussen, Ande 43 Longhorn-ST 52.70 53.18 24.16 53.18 (29.02) Ouch. Looks like Ande paid the price for taking it out fast.

One of my goals in life is to go under 1:00 for a 100 fly ... I have a long, long way to go ... posted by FlyQueen You can do it Heather.....Just keep it in the back of your head and move forward.....you will get there eventually b/c you are determined and you are still young. Good luck in your 100 fly tonight Ande!! I can see a 52 in you....which would be at the very top of the heap for a 100 fly in our agegroup.....but watch out in Austin 2008...because I will be gunning for you ...LOL!!!  Newmastersswimmer  :groovy:

  • dq in the 50? I wonder what happened These days, any movement on the blocks at all and you're DQ'd. I see scads more post-race DQs now in USS meets. I think maybe Ande's second 50 on the 100 fly could possibly have been due a bit to that cold. It has to beat you down a bit in a strenuous fly race. Still, a fabulous top ten time! Again this year. You gotta get out fast in the 100 or the race is all over. Yay for bungee cord Kate from my area! I can't belive Nick Brunelli finished 4th in a sub :20 so soon after shoulder surgery ... Impressive. Ian Crocker -- very impressive! Did he swim the max 15 under water each length? You're lucky you got to see it all, Ande! Good luck tomorrow in the 100 back! I expect some excellent SDK-ing!
