How to prevent blisters from Fins

Hello everyone, My coach has me kicking for 2 hours or more with fins. The only problem is they were rubbing my heal raw, so I added socks the next day and then came home with 4 very raw and missing skin off 4 of my toes. Today I wrapped and tapped them and wore the socks again, but it diffently affected my work out. I was a good 20 mins slower getting my 5000 yards in. What can I do to ease the discomfort till the skin heals and how can I prevent it from happening again? Thanks Kim the newbie swim team swimmer

  • this is NOT an edorsement, but here is the kind of the neoprene sock thing I'm talking about: www.123scuba.com/c-scuba-snorkeling-booties.html This Low Top Fin Sock is designed to be worn underneath snorkeling, free diving, surfing and some scuba diving fins. It is constructed of 2mm neoprene with smooth internal seams for comfort. Add a layer of insulation, improve fit and prevent chafing. Soft bottom (no sole) and a contoured cut for a more natural fit. Can also be used underneath dive boots for additional warmth. Quality materials and construction at an economical price.
