Only LCMs in my life. 20 years old in 1963 (2 packs a day) 50 free 27.2 (no 1/100ths back then) 100 free 1:04.2 200 free 2:28 (1:13, 1:15) 400 free 5:15.x 1500 free 25:15.x (Did it just for the heck of it). No swimming till my stroke in 2001 Quit smoking 2/2/2002 Two mini-strokes 2005, 2007 Sciatica 2005. Extruded L4-L5 disc Sep 2007 ..........:cane: 64 years old in (Feb) 2007 50 free 35.16 2008 Was hoping to do a bit better in Feb as a 65-69 master as I started incorporating some gym work.:weightlifter: The Wham: Wheelchair in October, :rant3: crutches in November, :toohurt: threw my back last Friday. :cane: Can't see how I could do well this February 2008 (if I can swim at all) and guess who's in my age group for the next two years? Ian Smith :canada: who, at 66, is only 0.7 seconds slower than I was at 20. Luckily, for my during-the-meet self esteem, it's timed finals (I'll probably be in the first or second heats, he'll be in the last and I'll have the consolation of seeing him swim -if he participates. I hope he does). Forget my regular self-esteem (when results are published), I'm looking forward to seeing Ian's times.
