Hi usms swim friends,
I'm working on a new swim faster faster article and I wanted to gather a little data first
here's my questions:
In your 2 or 3 best events
what are your lifetime best times?
how old were you when you swam them?
what year was that?
what are your best times in those events for each masters age group you've been in?
here's an example of what I'm looking for
Ande Rasmussen

age 16 2:11.19 (age group)
age 20 2:08ish (college)
18-24 2:12.54 (2005 SCY nats)
25-29 2:11.90 (2007 SCY nats)
(i didn't get to swim this much as a kiddo, but it's my fav event as a master swimmer.)

age 16 1:54.75 (HS)
age 20 1:56ish (college)
18-24 1:58.36 (2005 SCY nats)
25-29 1:58.07 (2007 SCY nats)
(i swam this all the dam time in college, but never tapered, so i think that's why my college best is slower than my best as a kid.)
taking the link posted earlier at face value, i have a legit shot, with hard work of course, to get back down to the 1:56ish range for my 200 free. if i hadn't breathed into my finish at nationals, i would have been 1:57high this year. :frustrated:
(at least i know what i need to work on between now and austin...)
