Where do you swim? I joined the local county recreation facility (where I went 10 years ago) which is actually top notch. They host many high-level meets. www.charmeck.org/.../Aquatic Center Information.htm

  • I usually swim at the Pavilion Pool at the University of Washington. It's a six lane, 25 yard pool that was built in 1937. Not exactly where I'd like to swim a taper meet, but perfectly adequate for practice--as long as more than 30 people don't show up! The water temp is kept around 80 I'd say. Just about perfect. I also workout sometimes at Helene Madison pool, which is owned by the City of Seattle. It's bulkheaded at 25 yards with the shallow end on the other side used for things like water aerobics. An OK pool, but kept a little warm for my taste. It is, however, only a few blocks from my house. The attachment is of the UW pool.
