Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays:
Two categories:
1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch
2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing.
Thanking you in advance.

I've been looking at new cars and a couple models I'm interested in don't even have manual tranny as an option! What's the deal with American drivers? Do they need that second hand free so they can eat their trans fat laden meals on the go? :joker:
and talk on their cell phones
and chug a Dunkin Donuts Coffee (OK, even I go American for DD)
That's not too hard to master, either ...
I have a friend who can drive stick and talk on the phone. I don't know if I'll ever be able to do that. I'll be too busy speeding and drifting.... ;)
I want a small car, but one with some utility for carrying things. My wife would like me to get one with 4WD or AWD since I ski a lot. I'm not really sold on that due to the lower gas mileage, but I've researched the CR-V and the RAV4 and neither one has a manual transmission as an option anymore. I'm personally eyeing the Mazda 3 hatchback and a stick is available on that model.
Most of the Subaru models have manual transmission options. Mazda has a new crossover vehicle with AWD, not sure about the transmission. Also the Matrix/Vibe has AWD and manual transmission options.

I loved how my Impreza handled...it's old now, and needs to retire...
Funny you mention BMW, because my wife bought a manual 325i a couple years ago. When we went to the dealer the salesman showed her all the automatics. She asked, "don't you have any sticks?" The guy was somewhat taken aback, presuming she would want an auto.
You wife sounds quite cool. Every chick should drive a stick. They should also be watching Bond movies like SeaGurl/Kyra.
Manual Beamers are totally the way to go. I have one (though it is STILL in the shop, new engine block needed, eta ???). My parents and brother have automatics (as is my loaner), and I loathe trying to merge onto the Capital beltway with their cars. The merge is taking place at 55ph+, and I have no control over the power going on, which I hate, and it never kicks in when I want it to either, even with the "fake stick" stuff.
I will tell you, though, being in stop and go traffic with a stick can get a little iffy, especially if its a regular occurence.
Peter asks a simple question about movies and before I can read all the posts we're talking about cars, hmmmm. Anyway Kung Fu Hustle. Amazing, hilarious, and like nothing else you've ever seen.
All the old Bond's are good. But I'm still twitterpatted with the new one...and only partially because of Daniel Craig. ;) The opening sequence of Parkour was amazing!!
Kyra: Great movie! He was so hot I changed my user name to Vesper for awhile before I started changing avatars. I think I'm going back to Vesper ... I liked the first Roger Moore one too.
My new favorite is a short movie I just watched the other day called "Most", in Czeck it means "Bridge". Very powerful movie. Has a very religious meaning to it.....check it out, it's only about 30 minutes long......:notworthy:
