Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays:
Two categories:
1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch
2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing.
Thanking you in advance.
Or stop procrastinating and get to the water already!! :laugh2:
I don't have time now. It takes too long to hop in my manual transmission car with Daniel Craig, drive to the pool and get home in time for public school release. Instead, I'm going for a run to get ready for my 10K race with the Caped Dude. Maybe I'll swim later tonight if Mr. Fortress actually comes home from work. :D
Or stay and keep me entertained while I'm bored this afternoon at work ...
I'll give you a new avatar for amusement before my run. I bet you were wondering whether that was me, no?
I've been looking at new cars and a couple models I'm interested in don't even have manual tranny as an option! What's the deal with American drivers? Do they need that second hand free so they can eat their trans fat laden meals on the go? :joker:
Not sure what you are looking at but you really have to go to a drivers car company to get some good transmission options these days...BMW being one of them.
Funny you mention BMW, because my wife bought a manual 325i a couple years ago. When we went to the dealer the salesman showed her all the automatics. She asked, "don't you have any sticks?" The guy was somewhat taken aback, presuming she would want an auto.
I want a small car, but one with some utility for carrying things. My wife would like me to get one with 4WD or AWD since I ski a lot. I'm not really sold on that due to the lower gas mileage, but I've researched the CR-V and the RAV4 and neither one has a manual transmission as an option anymore. I'm personally eyeing the Mazda 3 hatchback and a stick is available on that model.
Sorry, Peter. It look like we've sabotaged your thread with "car talk."
Yeah, the Subaru Outback is a possibility, but everyone has one of those out here it seems!
I think they deleted the AWD version of the Matrix/Vibe, at least for the U.S. market.
Dog Day Afternoon
Taxi Driver
On Any Sunday
Saving Private Ryan
Dead Poets Society
The Great Escape
Oh yeah..can I come over for Xmas and watch them with you? I have Ryan and Escape on DVD.
Footnote: I haven't seen Bond yet but I liked Daniel Craig in "Layer Cake." An ego swelling aside. My wife's friend says I look like Daniel Craig:
Yeah right....she, my wife and I all wish!
I also enjoyed watching the BMW films with Clive Owen. Anybody else see those? They were shorts but pretty entertaining...especially if you like the cars being used.
