Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays:
Two categories:
1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch
2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing.
Thanking you in advance.

You have hit the nail on the head with why I drive stick ... I borrowed my mom's car when my car died and it was horrible ... I don't even mind sitting in traffic because it gives me something to do, after awhile it becomes such habit and so automatic :laugh2:
I also kept trying to hit the clutch when I was driving her car ... :dunno:
H2,
Start getting into "double declutching." Look it up on the web. It used to be a neccessity in the old days with manuals, but now the gears mesh a lot better, and you don't need to. However, it can really make you "drive." I do it when I am bored and on a hilly or winding road. It tends to lend itself to speeding a bit though.... ;)
I would never speed ... hahaha ... I've successfully avoided many a ticket, and not successfully avoided a few, too ... those police seem to target my little Saturn ...
Maybe we should all go watch the movie Speed.
Please ... the bus that needed to be over, what 55? How about the fast and the furious or gone in 60 seconds ... beautiful fast cars that are STICK!
Tokyo Drift! Watch Tokyo Drift! Terrible movie, amazing driving.
The best driving movies were made in the 60's: Gran Prix, The Italian Job (original version, featuring the very cool original mini Coopers), and one of the best chase scenes ever filmed, Bullitt. No digital enhancement/trickery, either, the stunt crew actually drove the cars that way.
Re: transmissions, if automatics with paddle shifters are good enough for F1, I'm sure they are just fine for us speed limited North Americans.
This is true...but you paddle shift the same way as you should with manual. It's the thinking and planning that makes manually changing gears (paddle auto or traditional) that makes you a better driver and gve you more feel for what's going on. Opinion, of course.
But I'll agree with Bullitt and The Italian Job. I would add French Connection too.
Is anyone going to see the new Rocky movie?
The first one was great .... the second was good ... the third one had it moments ... the fourth one was eh (super sad when Apollo died), the fifth should not have been that was a waste of two hours of my life that I can never get back ...
Went to Rocky Balboa last night with some teenagers. It really wasn't bad. Rocky is now training with Apollo Creed's original trainer. Remember that line: "He's beating you up inside. He doesn't know it's an exhibition. Stick and move. Stick and move." There were some pretty decent lines in this movie as well. Rocky thought Jamaica was in Europe. But he did give a good pep talk to his son. Something about the last thing to age in a boxer is his heart. That would appear to apply to swimming as well.
