Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays: Two categories: 1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch 2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing. Thanking you in advance.
Parents
  • Manual Beamers are totally the way to go. I have one (though it is STILL in the shop, new engine block needed, eta ???). My parents and brother have automatics (as is my loaner), and I loathe trying to merge onto the Capital beltway with their cars. The merge is taking place at 55ph+, and I have no control over the power going on, which I hate, and it never kicks in when I want it to either, even with the "fake stick" stuff. I will tell you, though, being in stop and go traffic with a stick can get a little iffy, especially if its a regular occurence. You have hit the nail on the head with why I drive stick ... I borrowed my mom's car when my car died and it was horrible ... I don't even mind sitting in traffic because it gives me something to do, after awhile it becomes such habit and so automatic :laugh2: I also kept trying to hit the clutch when I was driving her car ... :dunno:
