Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays: Two categories: 1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch 2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing. Thanking you in advance.

    1. The Big Blue. Free diving gone bad. 2. Dersu Uzala. Kurosawa epic set in the Russian outback. No swimming. 3. Capitaine Conan. 1996 Bertrand Tavernier film about a band of French guerilla fighters in WWI. Interesting character study at the end of the war. No swimming. 4. The Red Violin. Fantasy on the round-the-world history of a particular instrument with "peculiar" baroque origins. No swimming. Somewhat obscure, but interesting films. DV
