Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays:
Two categories:
1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch
2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing.

Dazed and Confused - my favorite movie of all time
LOTR - oh no! Please, I'm a geek, but not that big of one.
And, I agree with Fortress, Home Alone still cracks me up.
I'm scared ... I completely agree with Geek that Dazed and Confused is awesome ... I LOVE that movie, too ...
White Christmas is fantastic ... I love Meet Me in St. Louis ... The classic cartoon Grinch is fabulous ... My family and I enjoyed The Family Stone, while funny it's definitely sad ...
Ditto to LOTR being good .... Harry Potter movies are great, too ...
Classic movies ... Some Like it Hot, Cool Hand Luke, and One Flew OVer the CuCoo's (?) Nest ...
