Okay, so we all like each other. Well, mostly. S-o-o-o, it does stand to reason that each and every one of has an outstanding DVD to recommend for me ( & the rest of the forums gang) to rent for viewing over the holidays:
Two categories:
1.) Seasonal DVD that we must watch
2.) Non-seasonal any genre DVD that will make our holiday viewing.
Thanking you in advance.
Fortress AKA Oh wooden legged one,
I'm not a history buff, but they tried to imply that William Wallace got the princess pregnant it was absolute rubbish. What has this to do with Robert the Bruce?
Did Richard III kill the two princes or not? I think the jury is out on this one...my opinion--probably not.
Remember Heny VIII? What's the slogan for his 6 wives? Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday...Sunday he went to play golf and then watched football. :applaud: (I've not heard this one...this must be something like conjunction junction)
I do not believe that Keira Knightly has a wooden leg. Hey, where's your new avatar of the day?
Uh, Robert the Bruce did make an appearance in Braveheart as I recall. And it was Bruce, not Wallace, who became King of Scotland and subsequently won Scottish independence at the Battle of Bannockburn. As to the pregnancy, well that was obviously fictional, but it made for a great movie scene when the lovely princess imparts the news to mean ole Edward I.
I don't think Richard III did it either, but that is contrary to the belief of the majority of historians.
Henry VIII's 6 wives: "Divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived." He must have disliked the first five because they couldn't swim.
Poolraat will like this DVD rec: Running Brave.
