Okay, I got my first FSII kneeskin the mail.
Aside from the sides being silver see-through, does anyone else (I guess this would apply more to females than males but I could be wrong) feel like He-Man's twin sister in this get up? I've enjoyed the FSII Recordbreaker (female swim suit) and this is my first knee skin. I didn't want the full body skin as I swim lots of IM and breaststroke.
I don't expect to look great when I get up on the block. . . should I just look at it as I'll scare away all my competition. . .
Talk about doing what it takes to swim fast. I think I'll NOT invite my husband to the meet.

JPG please:laugh2:
Surely it cannot be as bad as this?
Kristina,
Aww..you make me feel better. You're so kind to say that.
You are doing a fine job at practice and I know you are going to kick butt this weekend. You'll be tapered and I think you will surprise yourself!
I was so disappointed that I couldn't make Bob's visitation Sunday. My Aunt and Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary party was at the same time. I had an upset stomach all the next day..(nerves?) and my mom was in the hospital at the sam time as the funeral. I really wish I could have gone to give Rosemary (his wife) and his girls a hug.
"It does make me rethink priorities in life. Swimming while sick - piece of cake and happy to be swimming at all. Makes me think of one of the Navy Seals sayings - something to the effect of, "Be happy to feel the pain. Pain is your friend. It means you are alive." How is it that I learn more with each passing year but know less and less at the same time? " Oh my....how true this is. The older we get the less we seem to know because life sends us harder and more difficult things to handle. Just do the best you can and take one day at a time! :groovy:
Did you know that you were the one swimmer who inspired me to start racing the men? I saw how you whooped their butts - you showed me how it was done - and you still do! :notworthy:
Beth, I am so sorry about your Mom. Hope she is better now. I think both you and Kristina will be whooping those guys butts -- whether you're sick or not. :notworthy:
So you're on the same team, is that why your user names are so similar?

Thanks Fortress. She is doing well. She has had 3 caths with angioplasty and stents in the past year and a half! I count every day with her as a blessing and I just pray that we can stay a step ahead of her heart problems. It was pretty scary last week when one of my teammates died suddenly of a heart attack at practice last week. It really puts life in perspective and makes you realize how precious life really is.
Our names being almost the same was totally coincidental! Isn't that wild! Kristina.....are you sure we aren't sisters seperated at birth? :agree:

Exactly. I'm a little freakish with my family about eating right and exercising.
On topic, Kristina, I'm quite happy with my bodyskin and recordbreaker because there is so little breaststroke involved in my life :D ...
I wear my full legskins for free and a regular Speedo for anything with breaststroke. I LOVE my full legsuit. I've thought about getting a kneeskin but I was afraid it would be too tight on my thighs. My thighs have always been kind of big and muscular. My coach used to call me a "fullback".
I could only hope to be so lucky as to be your sister Beth!
I know - Beth, I never apologized for choosing a user name so close to yours! I just sort of joined recently and then started looking at this board and saw that someone else had a user name almost like mine. And then I learned that it was you! BUT - I am working on changing my user name to either (S)he-Man or GoodTimes. I need to check and see if either of those are taken.
Kristina, you don't have to change your name! I'm PM ing you. I think we are in danger of hijacking the thread! :D

Beth:
Now, if this is really true, you should be doing breaststroke and leave that 50 fly to me. I will not be approaching your 100 free time either! :notworthy:
Kristina: I like your proposed new names, especially (S)he man.
Your brother shouldn't be raggin on you. Look at his user name ...

I think I read someone else on this forum was a gymnast too. Was it Chlorini?
I'm not sure if I had posted this before, but I'm a former gymnast - only made it to level 4, though. I've always been a backstroker, but recently started getting the endurance to be a good flyer. My sister was also a gymnast and is a back/flyer. My brother, however, was a gymnast and was a great backstroker but still can't do fly or *** legally, even though he is very flexible.
