I have been lurking for awhile and decided to register.
There are many controversial and interesting threads here. Swimming is controversial, and seems to provoke a spirited debate. The pure entertainment value of such debate seems worthwhile too.
So do we really have to "hit the delete" button before posting something potentially controversial about the sport of swimming? I read this advice in an "angel" post. Aren't we allowed to discuss noodling or TI -- provided we are not overly in love with ourselves or hurling personal lard bombs?

Yeah, that was posted back in November. I don't remember a lot of political debates recently, except for the NSR debate over TFs on the "Biggest Loser" thread. That pissed off Mr. Lefty Barra, who then claimed the rest of us weren't lefties, which then pissed us off and then ... well, I think he offered us pork rinds. Ugh.
Peter has been exceptionally well behaved lately. He hasn't even thrown a lard bomb at Geek. posted by Fort
I guess I missed that one. I haven't been consistently posting hear over the last several months I guess. I use to post here a lot a couple of years back or so....then I only popped in a few times here and there....Kind of like Karen Duggan has been doing lately...that was of course up until a couple of months ago or so when I got sucked into a puffball war with the Ranger from the North and then a limerick war with the BritWit....I also enjoyed meeting a lot of the new posters here.....and then ....well I guess I got sucked into an ugly fight with one or two posters who I never really got along with much to begin with....and now I'm just trying to get back to having fun again. I never really got involved with the other debates concerning TI and such so I'm not exactly sure what that was all about?....But we all have our own individual perceptions about the comments that are made around here. I for one always believed that a conflict between two individuals should be kept private between the two individuals and its really no one else's business....but hey that is just my opinion I suppose. Despite what some posters here may believe about me....My only real intentions for coming here were to have fun and sling a few puffballs back in forth with the likes of Rich, Cruise, and others....and just have some general fun talking about swimming and life in general and such...sometimes things do get a little out of hand but I don't like dwelling on the negatives too much because I don't think it brings out anything of real value...just more negatives IMO. My two cents for what its worth:2cents:
