Delete button?

I have been lurking for awhile and decided to register. There are many controversial and interesting threads here. Swimming is controversial, and seems to provoke a spirited debate. The pure entertainment value of such debate seems worthwhile too. So do we really have to "hit the delete" button before posting something potentially controversial about the sport of swimming? I read this advice in an "angel" post. Aren't we allowed to discuss noodling or TI -- provided we are not overly in love with ourselves or hurling personal lard bombs?

  • Frank is pretty good at leading you into the room and then buring it down around you....;) I like to use fire. But I don't use fire to burn the house down but to heat the building. My posts try to be informative and postive and not defamatory and negative. That is why I back up most of my information with facts and truths and use links to prove my point. I have never tried to delete on these forms except once. A couple of weeks back Dorian Blade nuked his own post and when he was doing that I was responding to that post. Because he was the originator of the thread he can delete his post but the people who respond cannot. I could not delete that post and I confused people like Beth McGee because she did not know what my response was from. About me being lovey dovey about the statement about Don Schollander, I provided a link to a story that would not fuel the fire but heat the building. It provided information that I didn't even know about and that was his relationships with George Bush and John Kerry at Yale.
