Delete button?

I have been lurking for awhile and decided to register. There are many controversial and interesting threads here. Swimming is controversial, and seems to provoke a spirited debate. The pure entertainment value of such debate seems worthwhile too. So do we really have to "hit the delete" button before posting something potentially controversial about the sport of swimming? I read this advice in an "angel" post. Aren't we allowed to discuss noodling or TI -- provided we are not overly in love with ourselves or hurling personal lard bombs?

Nah, I have no intention of hitting the delete button just because a topic is controversial. After all, it wouldn't be much fun if everyone agreed with us on our "style." I am as opinionated as the next swimmer because what I have done, so far, worked for me and has not failed me. I have always been open to new swimming theories but haven't found any that address forward propulsion and speed. But something I have watched here are that there are professed gurus with very few champions under their belt. Which leads me to a question, I am sure I will be open to machine-gun fire for it or someone will want to know how long I can hold my breath underwater with help from others, does the swimmer make the coach or the coach make the swimmer? And, I am wearing a bullet-proof vest right now. Donna
