Breastroke Speed for a mile

Hey all I just started swimming again for exercise gone from 1/4 mile to 1 mile in about 3 weeks (2 swims a week) muscles needed to adapt first. I'm hitting around the 40-50 (need to time for accuracy) minute mark to swim the mile breastroke. What should be a goal time to aim for I'm 37, 190ish, 5'8". Obviously I'm not going to go out and try to make a goal time at next swim but I can try to increase speed in incremements. Not trying to make event times just set a goal for a nice solid workout tempo for now. Thanks in advance for any input. Rich

Thanks, that is very encouraging to hear, honestly I mean it. I swam a lot as a kid but haven't for true sport/competition for 20 years...I guess I can still improve my workout or try to build my freestyle endurance for variety. I feel pleased with how I've done, so I guess it's the muscle memory helping me out a bit...It's funny I still see my old swim coach in my mind as I make my laps lol. I guess she'd be pleased to know her efforts still remain with me. The main thing is the swimming it feels good mentally and physically. Thanks for input.
