In another thread I read that an unnamed USS coach was teaching using 2 dolphin kicks in breaststroke pullout,sneaking the first one in after the dive (like Kitajima did.) I had previously heard coaches teaching dolphin kick on the pullout before it was legal saying "I'll keep teaching it until they DQ it." What do you all think of this? I think the refs should watch for this and DQ the swimmers of course,but I think the coach should be flogged I don't care how many Olympians the might have trained.
I think you must be referring to evil travel soccer parents, not us pure as the driven snow masters swimmers.
Is it so bad to be an "evil travel soccer parent"? It must be those other parents. It couldn't be me. After all we are also swimmers.

How long have you been a travel soccer parent? Maybe Nevada is different than Metro DC where lots of parents are, as Geek puts it, living out their own "unfulfilled dreams" through their kids. Plus, I know some evil travel soccer parents that were swimmers in their youth. They are not masters swimmers now, however, so maybe that explains it.
But here's the test: When you play another team, do you know what their record is for the past few years, how many goals they have allowed in the past calendar year and their national ranking? Is so, you may have passed over to the dark side.
