Many of the forum regulars seem to be going to Stanford, alas, others of us will not be there. Some of you that are going will access the internet while there, however briefly- why not share?
I have created this thread so you can report on the sights, sounds, swims, sunburns, socials etc. It matters not whether you be 'elite', 'newbie' or whatever, your impressions would be interesting to read. You could comment on great swims, technique, facilities, judging, the announcer, outrageous behavior of other forum participants, complaints, kudos- whatever. If you do, I at least would be grateful and if the thread garners much in the way of postings it could be a valuable archive for people to check for future Worlds. I lay down the guantlet...

I really thought if I was close at the 100 I'd catch him the second half but every time I accelerated he did too. It was a lot of fun and he pulled me to a time faster than I thought I could do(unfortunately for me he swam faster than I thought he could also.) The Belardi pool was fast. The Baker pool was fine but not as fast. Everyone I met was great and having an international crowd was really neat. The relay day was really exciting and a great idea(check out the 200-239 Mixed MR results)
The 200BR looks like it was a good one to watch. You'll have to place bets for the next Worlds in Perth.
