Only one point I found myself wondering about:
You notice a fellow swimmer not hydrating and say:
" Look at that silly ass over there, training and never taking in fluids! Oh well, that's her choice, FOOL!!"
But later you say
"There are many negative people out there in this sport as well. The backstabbers, the troublemakers and those who delight in putting others down. BUT, do I take any notice of people like THAT? NO!"
Might these two statements contradict each other?
Sure it's tempting to dismiss someone who doesn't seem to be "following the rules," even feel hostile toward the apparent disrespect for the sport and its demands. But if you're not into negativity or putting people down, it's something to think about. We don't hear her point of view, only see her from yours.
Aside from that, again, some very on-target reflections.
